1) My dad is a doctor, and I used him as my first expert in the industry because he has a Phd is the medical field, and is currently switching from working in a hospital to opening up his own pain clinic. My dad did not ask for anything in return for reaching out to him, but he gave me the names of several other people in the industry who could be useful in the future.
2) Tom Savage is a physician who works in Tampa, Florida, and is an expert in the market. He understands how the supply of customers in regard to medical care works because he specializes in patients with medicare, and understands how payment for bills with people who use medicare works. My dad met him through a business meeting, and he was more than happy to give me a quick phone call and discuss the efficiency of hospital work vs pain clinic work
3)Linda Rowdy works for a company which distributes a variety of medical equipment for hospitals in northeast Florida, and as a result constitutes as my expert supplier. I found her through my father, because she distributes a significant amount of the goods his hospital uses. She didn't ask for anything in return, but was really kind and helpful during our conversation.
This was different than other interviews I've done because the conversation was much more focused on a specific topic.
