Assignment 30

After looking through my old posts, some of the more memorable ones are ones about self reflection, and seeing where I am, what skills I have that set me apart from everyone else, and where I hope to end up. Self reflecting was formative because it forced me to consider things that I don't usually think about, and this gave me better insight to myself. I enjoyed hearing people talk about me as well, so doing the assignment in which friends gave feedback on what makes my human capital unique was great to hear. I'm proud of the work I did to research this project and interview so many people I didn't even know about it. I definitely have more of an entrepreneur mindset because I took the initiative to speak to so many people about a topic I really didn't know all that much about. I would recommend future students to choose a topic they care about, because to do well, its important not to procrastinate.  It will make the research much more enjoyable. Also doing the work ahead of time will help keep them sharp and as a result more interested in the material because they have more time and consider what they are writing about and reflect on how their new ideas will help or hurt the company.

  1. Hello Nick,
I also found it important to pick a topic that is both interesting and has some depth to it. Researching, interviewing, and writing about something that you're passionate about is so much easier than doing so for something that you picked flippantly at the start of the semester. I feel like if I would have known how many assignments were going to revolve around our main business concept, I would have put a lot more time and effort picking something that actually mattered in the long run.

  2. Hey Nick,
I, too, enjoyed reading the self-reflections I've made over this semester. It gives us a good way to see the progress we've made and how our thought changes from feedback and time. Although interviews were my least enjoyable aspect of the course, it was required as an entrepreneur to refine the concepts we have today. I also share your recommendation to future students of starting on assignments early. Not only does it make the assignments easier, but gives students time to better their concepts for future posts.
